The Institute’s laboratories are equipped with test benches with engine dynamometers of modern construction which enable breaking of various concepts of compression engines:

• Vehicle engines with power up to 500kW and max. engine speed 6000 min^-1.
• Aircraft two-stroke or four-stroke compression ignition engines with power 800 kW and rpm 12000 min^-1.
• Stationary and locomotive engines with high engine speed with power up to 1 300 kW and max. rpm 3000 min^-1.
